How Bee’s came to be…My name is Anne Beal, owner of Bee's Pet Sitting and my nickname is Bee. When I was younger, my mother used to collect "bee things" for me and we also used to talk about opening a bed and breakfast someday. But as I got older, I realized that my true love was taking care of animals, so I decided to work with them instead!
Experience and Trust.
I have over 25 years of experience taking care of animals, which includes starting and operating my own pet boarding business, Bee's Pet Boarding. I enjoyed running the kennel for almost 14 years but decided it was time for a change and have now switched to pet sitting! I have also spent many years volunteering for different local non-profits. Including helping Friends of Feral Felines out of Portland, where we took street cats to the vet and made sure they had a safe place to live. And I currently volunteer at the Maine Wildlife Park in Gray, where I help to give group tours. I have a special connection with our four legged friends and would love the opportunity to care for your 'family' members.
The History.
After many successful years as a business owner, I felt the need to expand my options of pet care for my customers and transitioned into pet sitting. This way your pet(s) can have the comfort of staying in their own home and wont have the stress of being in a new place. Not all cats travel well, s this allows me to offer quality in-home care with lots of TLC for everyone. And you have the extra peace of mind knowing your house is also being well cared for while you're away.
My other work history is comprised of a variety of video production jobs - I have a B.S. in Corporate Communications. Over the years, I worked for local production companies, as well as Channel 6 News and MPBN. I spent over seven years editing, directing and producing for many of the local programs on MPBN. I learned a great deal about the state of Maine from working there (I transplanted from CT) and was inspired by all the Made in Maine stories I worked on to open my own business.
It's been a joy to take care of so many wonderful pets over the years. I have a huge extended family and feel lucky to have so many furry friends in my life.
